As per YB Datuk Hajah Fatimah Abdullah during Dun Sitting yesterday, State Welfare Department has shown their concerned towards the retrenched workers of Sanmina. A dialog session has been organised with them and collected personal info in order to distribute One-Off Fund to those who are qualified.

According to the Minister of Welfare, Woman and Family Development Datuk Hajah Fatimah Abdullah, it is important for well-being of the family members of the retrenched, particularly their children to be taken care of.
Those eligible would be also be given a one-off RM500 education assistant to the parents who have children who are still schooling while a RM300 one-off living assistant would be presented to each of the former workers.
Fatimah, who is also the Dalat State Assemblywoman disclosed that the children of the retrenched workers can be registered under the child assistant scheme (BKK) and should they are eligible, they would receive an assistant between RM100 to RM450 each month within a maximum period of a year before they are revised.
Some basic food will be provided for each of the families apart from providing the E-Kasih counter to collect all their data.
Apart from that, Jabatan Tenaga Kerja (JTK) had conducted a ‘job-matching’ program as one of the effort which was held just recently in Padawan. Finally, the families of the retrenched Sanmina-CSI Corporation M) Sendirian Berhad workers had something to smile at and hope for.
