Live From DUN Sarawak : Awang Tengah on Rural Water Supply

Sarawak Kolok Mee bringing you the latest spice of what's happening in Sarawak DUN Sitting today. These few days will be concluding sessions of various ministers' answers for questions which ADUNs presented last week. Sarawak Kolok Mee will published first hand replies from the ministers' before the newspaper does tomorrow.

YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hassan

Minister of Resource Planning and Environment (II)
Minister of Public Utilities
Minister of Industrial Development

As quoted from Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah, the implementation of water supply projects to being treated and clean water supply to the rural population under the various Water Supply Development Programmes has been progressing. Patience is much needed to cover the whole vast are of Sarawak for water supply.

More and more of the rural population are provided with water supply. The effort of the Government to bring water supply to the remaining rural population is becoming more and more of a mammoth task and is highly challenging. This is due to the vast land area of Sarawak(Do you have any idea how big is Sarawak?? Google it).

Imagine the size of terrain, the geography, the connectivity and the remoteness of the settlements which are also vastly scattered and thinly populated. This will be too costly to provide treated water supply to the isolated settlements in the interior.

Hence, other forms of providing safe clean water supply to promote hygiene and improve public health are being implemented to alleviate hardship to the people until viable time to replace them with treated water supply.

NKRA PROGRAMME FOR RURAL WATER SUPPLY

Sarawak is allocated about RM1.73 billion to implement Projek Bekalan Air Luar Bandar (BALB) under the NKRA programme.

Out of 477 water supply projects, 393 projects had been completed. 47,628 households will be benefited while the remaining 84 projects will benefit a further 41,372 households; expected to complete by August 2013.

WATER SUPPLIES IN SCORE AREA

Under the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE), the water supply works for Phase 1 Stage 1 at Samalaju area had been successfully completed. This project supplies treated water to Samalaju Industrial Park and nearby kampungs.

New 80 million liters per day (MLD) water treatment plant and associated facilities is expected to be completed by April 2013 to meet increasing demands. The development of Sungai Similajau raw water source and another 80 MLD water treatment plant is in the pipeline to ensure adequate future supply.

The expansion of existing treatment capacity of Mukah water supply is much needed and to upgrade the systems to cater for the tremendous increase in water demand in that area.

N36 Semop ADUN, Did It Again!

YB Abdullah Bin Saidol ADUN of N36 Semop, has stands out during DUN Sitting again! Being the Chief Political Secretary and the Chairman of BNBBC (Barisan Nasional Back Benchers Club), he is the nemesis of Wong Ho Leng and Chong Chien Jen in the Sitting!

His performance has been anticipated by a lot of people in DUN as once he opens his mouth, good show and debate will go on after rounds of boring sessions during the sitting. Even though he is taking care of a small little DUN - N36 Semop, but YB Abdullah has been a passionate politicians who take people's welfare into his account, especially people in his DUN Semop.

In the recent Sitting, he has voiced out the problem of settlements in Pulau Bruit is facing. His speech is filled with sentiments and passions in the August House and it touches everyone. This is a politician that many have to look up to. If only majority of politicians in Sarawak following his footsteps... Opposition will have no grounds to fight back!

Congratulations to YB Abdullah Saidol on your recent appeal for Pulau Bruit and wish you all the best in you fight for your kawasan. BN, is not as bad as you think.

YB ABDULLAH BIN SAIDOL WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL SPOUSE

I Knew it! Secret Between LGE & Nik Aziz!

Following the new ruling in the state of Kelantan where one can't trim the opposite sex's hair; it has create a big negative impact on the local hair saloons. Saloon operators are closing down their businesses due to the law changes. As thought that the ruling is meant for Muslims Hairdresser, the non-muslims saloon operators are shockingly received compounds because they trim the opposite sex's hair.

Opps! PAS did it again! Applying Syariah law on non-muslims??? PAS is crossing the line into non-muslims' territories! Nik Aziz's BFF Lim Guan Eng in Pakatan seems to be muting himself and did not say even a word for the non-muslims! What on earth?

Lim Guan Eng is such a coward as everyone knows he needs PKR & PAS to form a good synergy and the image of multiracial party that's why he chose to be a mute puppet.

On the other hand, Karpal Singh has voiced out his objection in asking the saloon operators not to pay their compounds till appeal them to the court first. Hail! Hail! This is the spirit should be. Dare to be different from others and stands out.

Lim Guan Eng, when are you getting your guts back and start protecting the non-muslims against PAS? Till when will you want to share the same dream and pillow with Nik Aziz rather than man up and defend?

WITH LIM GUAN ENG'S TIMIDNESS, NON-MUSLIMS CAN'T COUNT ON HIM ANYMORE AFTER OPPOSITION WON THE ELECTION SINCE HE'S NOT EVEN CAPABLE IN SOLVING THE CURRENT PROBLEM. TSK TSK TSK.....

PAS Is Always A Little Too Late

PAS is always a little too late... don't you agree? Their mistakes of indecisive nature brought them not luck but only TROUBLE. It is always late for them to realize it's actually a mistake and too foolish to make a correction on their mistakes made.

PAS has been participating Bersih 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 but they never have been the spokesperson and CLEARLY, they do not stand out like Anwar & Ambiga during the protest. At the end, pathetically saying they are just used by Anwar as a tool in adding up participant for Bersih rally.

Now finally they make the initiative that there's gonna be BERSIH 4.0! Halo???? It takes Anwar & Ambiga 3 rallies to realize that Bersih rally will not achieve anything but only destruction but PAS? They are just a little too late to realize this is a HUGE mistake made.

PAS should feel ashamed of themselves because they have been used and fooled 3 times and now the FOURTH time! I really pity PAS as they always try to imitate others to be successful but they have always fall behind.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE FOR PAS TO REALLY REALIZE THEY ARE IN TOTAL MISTAKES??

Is This An Inside Job?

Sarawak State Library supposed to have this talk on Women's Right today. Well, from the title it sounds legit but there is something in this flyer that caught my eyes. Did reader noticed anything unusual in this flyer? It's the name of the speaker - Mr Arip Bin Ameran. What is his problem?

He happened to be a member of PKR which campaign in the last election and now remains very active in AMK (Angkatan Muda Keadilan), Youth Wing of PKR as a treasurer. Now, don't get me wrong; am not saying that member of opposition party cannot use government's facility but looking at Anwar's culture in the party where he would do anything to stay in power / to tackle Putrajaya (haha.. dream on)..

Do you still think that this talk is going to be legit just as the title have mentioned? A young gentlemen (cough cough) like the one in the picture talks about women's right? His credibility has to be revalued. PKR would do anything to get what they wanted, even to the distance to spread their lies through organizing this SEEMS-LEGIT-TALK.

I believed before any event organize any talks, speakers' background check and intention of the talk is essential. How can he got the access to the library's use? Obviously, according to my Sherlock Holmes's instinct; HIGH POSSIBILITY OF INSIDE JOB.

After my brother WIRA KENYALANG looking through Facebook looking by the name of  Razak Rambili / Geneve Vendrick which stated in the flyer "untuk keterangan lanjut, hubungi Razak Rambili/ Geneve Vendrick", this has been discovered...

I bet this gentlemen (cough cough) is the player behind the scene. Again, nothing wrong about opposition using the facility of government as this is a democracy country. But AMK, child of PKR??? Which involve in recent Who-Gonna-Be-PM issue... They are desparate.. very desparate...

INSIDE JOB OR NOT.. YOU JUDGE...
